Attorney Vincent Sabatini successfully obtained zoning approval for the establishment of the Spirit Church. The Town of Windsor had previously eliminated church uses in its commercial zones. The Church then hired the law firm of Sabatini and Associates. We submitted a legal position paper on the town's representatives and in response the town's legal counsel recommended to the town that it had to reinstate the zoning regulation allowing for church use in compliance with state and federal law. The town took the recommended action and the town's planning and zoning commission approved the establishment of the church.
WILL CONTEST LITIGATION
The law firm was retained by an estate where a challenge was made to the will by the decedent's grandchildren. The firm successfully overcame the challenge and the will was admitted in Probate.
On behalf of the firm's client, an appeal was filed against the Town of New Hartford for its denial of a planning and zoning application to operate a gravel pit and mining operation.
Representing a real estate company, the firm obtained the necessary permits to construct and operate a TGI Friday’s restaurant on the Berlin Turnpike in Newington, Connecticut.
The firm was retained by a local developer for the purpose of establishing a La-Z-Boy retail store on the Berlin Turnpike in Newington, Connecticut.
BENCH TRIAL VERDICT
Verdict for woman who suffered a fractured arm as a result of a fall on a sidewalk at the University of Connecticut’s campus in West Hartford, CT. The fall was caused by the accumulation of goose droppings. The firm was able to prove that the State had notice of the problem and had failed to take adequate measures to prevent and clean up the goose droppings.
WRONGFUL DEATH SETTLEMENT
Settlement obtained for the estate of a man who passed away while on board an international flight. The airline failed to timely and adequately respond to our client’s medical condition and as a result of the delay, he died.
Settlement for an elderly lady who slipped and fell on a defective carpet. She suffered a torn rotator cuff and required surgery. Through discovery, the law firm was able to learn that the property owner had known of the problem with the rug rolling up and had typically taped the rug down on the floor. However, on the date of the incident, the rug was not taped down to the floor.
Settlement for a client injured in a motor vehicle collision. The client sustained a 5% permanent partial impairment to her cervical spine. The case settled on the eve of trial after the insurance company more than doubled its previous offer to settle the case.
On behalf of two former employees who were wrongfully terminated as a result of their union organizing activities.

Workers compensation claim filed on a behalf of our client, a nurse, who after years of being exposed to latex based medical products, developed a severe and permanent latex allergy.

SUCCESSFUL DCF APPEAL
Successful appeal taken on behalf of two clients who were wrongly found by the CT Department of Children and Families to have engaged in physical neglect during the course of their employment. The substantiation findings were reversed on appeal for both clients.

MORMON CHURCH APPROVED
Through the efforts of Sabatini and Associates, LLC, zoning was obtained for the development of a Mormon Church in the Town of Canton.
Settlement for client suffering from mesothelioma caused by asbestos exposure at the workplace.
Medical malpractice case against a major Connecticut hospital involving a transurethral resection of the prostate surgery which caused a blood infection which then caused numerous injuries.

Settlement obtained for a victim of an assault and battery. The assailants were never apprehended. The case was brought against the owners of a club and parking lot for failing to provide adequate security.
Sabatini and Associates, LLC representing an individual who was not paid his commissions owed to him by Colt's Manufacturing prevailed in arbitration where the arbitration panel awarded our client five (5) million dollars. The award was subsequently confirmed by the Hartford Superior Court. Colt's has appealed.

Through the efforts of Sabatini and Associates, LLC, the development and construction of the Target Store in Newington, CT has been approved by Newington's Planning and Zoning Commission.
KRISPY KREME APPROVED
Representing Jan Companies, owner of the Krispy Kreme franchise for Connecticut, Sabatini and Associates, LLC obtained Newington's Planning and Zoning Commission's approval of the Krispy Kreme store in Newington.

Lawsuit filed in CT Federal Court on behalf of RDU Corp. alleging breach of contract and business torts against Nationwide Mutual Insurance Company.

Compensation to a thirty-nine year old police officer working traffic duty at a construction site. A tree cutting company negligently cut down a tree that struck and snapped a live electrical power line forcing the officer to flee to avoid electrocution. In doing so, he was hit by a motor vehicle. The officer suffered lower back injuries.
